Head of Operations – Agritech

About the Role

The Head of Operations will lead and scale the end-to-end operational functions of Halal Agro Tech — from supply chain and inventory management to fulfillment, vendor relations, and cross-functional team coordination. This is a strategic leadership role for a fast-growing agritech company dealing in premium agricultural inputs including seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, PGRs, and crop protection products.

Key Responsibilities

• Supply Chain & Procurement: Oversee sourcing, vendor negotiations, and procurement of agricultural inputs ensuring quality, compliance, and cost efficiency.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock levels across multiple locations; minimize stockouts and overstock situations for high-velocity SKUs.
• Fulfillment & Logistics: Manage last-mile delivery, and order fulfillment workflows to ensure timely and accurate dispatch.
• Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure our operations meet Bangladesh agricultural regulatory standards and fulfil regulatory requirements.
• Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage operations, warehouse, and logistics teams.
• Process Automation: Identify and support implementation of automation opportunities across operations using tools like Shopify, ERP integrations, and inventory management systems.
• Data & Reporting: Track KPIs including fulfillment rate, inventory turnover, cost per order, and supplier performance; present insights to leadership.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and tech teams to align operational capacity with campaign and growth plans.
• B2B Operations: Manage wholesale catalog operations, bulk order processing, and B2B customer fulfillment workflows.

Requirements

• 2–3+ years of operations experience, preferably in agritech, agribusiness, FMCG, or e-commerce
• Diploma in Agriculture, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BS Ag) or similar
• Strong understanding of agricultural supply chains in Bangladesh
• Experience managing logistics partners and warehouse operations
• Proficiency in inventory systems; familiarity with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms is a plus
• Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and reporting skills
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
• Knowledge of Bangladesh agricultural regulations and import/export compliance is a strong advantage
